Green tea contains amino acids, enzymes carbohydrates, lipids, sterols, dietary minerals, and phytochemicals such as polyphenols and flavanols. Organic green tea leaf powder also contains high levels of polyphenol antioxidants for strong free-radical removal, and also benefits the cardiovascular system while assisting the immune system with its strong properties. Also, green tea has antioxidants called polyphenols. The main active polyphenol in green tea is called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). Green tea also contains some caffeine, but less than coffee, so please be aware of this. Our green tea is from the north area of Thailand, where the cooler climate is better for growing green tea (and also coffee). The leaves are harvested three times a year, then steamed to prevent minimal oxidation. After this, they are sun dried and powdered for sale.
