OPC controversy: Seagate does not list OPC's (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) on this label because there is no lab methodology to measure OPC levels and because there exist certain identically-named proprietary products in this product category that claim the legal right to use these letters on their packaging. Lab tests to measure the relative "indexed" value of the proanthocyanidins do exist and have shown Seagate's GSE has up to twice the level as several major competing brands. While there are hundreds of brands of grape seed extract on the market, most of which claim different levels of efficacy for their GSE, the vast majority of companies do not process their own grape seed extract.
