Our Alfalfa Leaf is cut and sifted from Medicago sativa, sourced from Egypt. The dried leaf has a fresh, earthy flavor that tastes grass-like and is mildly sweet; blends well with most other herbs in tea blends. In the kitchen, add the leaf to soups, stews, baked goods, smoothies, and tea blends. For body care, use it to make infusions, herbal oils, and salves. Do not use if you have an autoimmune disease. May interact with certain medications such as Warfarin (Coumadin). Store sealed in a cool, dark place.
