Yellow dock (Rumex crispus) is a perennial herbaceous plant, species of the genus Rumex. The root is long; brown, yellow at the break. The stem is up straight, 50-120 cm high, reddish in color. Leaves are lanceolate, sharp, and curly at the edges. The flowers are small, reddish or green in color, collected in a long, narrow, dense whisk. Yellow dock blooms in June - July. The fruit is a trihedral nutlet.
