The origin of Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) is the Philippine Islands, from there the plant spread throughout Southeast Asia. Patchouli is a perennial herbaceous shrub, the diameter and height can reach one and a half meters. The plant has branched, fibrous roots and a hard stem with a hairy coating. Patchouli leaves are opposite, broad, dentate or pinnate. Patchouli flowers are white or pale lilac with purple dots, they are collected in brushes in whorls from 10 to 15 pieces.
