The origin of Kola nut (Cola Acuminate) is considered The West Bank of Africa (Ivory Coast). Kola nut is an evergreen tree up to 20 m high. The trunk is covered with a scaly bark; its diameter is about 45-50 cm. The leaves are elliptical, leathery. In the sixth to tenth year of life, the tree goes into the flowering stage. Cola flowers are bisexual, stamen flowers are always larger than pistil flowers. Petals are light yellow in color, on the inner surface of each there are three red stripes. Flowers are collected in panicle inflorescences. Flowering and fruiting occurs throughout the year. The fruit is a prefabricated leathery leaflet, consisting of five carpels, of which only one or two develops. Egg-shaped seeds with a reddish-brown membrane (8-9 pieces) are placed in a row.
