The origin of Chen Pi, Tangerine (Citrus Reticulata) is southern China. The plant does not occur in the wild. Tangerine is an evergreen, branched tree of the Rutov family with a grayish bark, reaching 4-5 m in height. The root system is powerful, well developed, spreading far beyond the crown projection. The leaves are oval, green in color. During the year, their color does not change. The blooming period is from April to June. During flowering, the tree looks very impressive, since its crown is densely strewn with white or cream flowers. The tangerine peel is orange, thin, easily detached from the pulp. Some varieties of this citrus are seedless. Ripening period is in October-December.
