California Poppy (Eschscholzia Californica) is a typical species of herbaceous plants of the genus Eschscholzia. The stem is straight or branched, smooth, sometimes bluish in color. The root is rod, powerful. A flower is solitary with yellow to orange petals. California Poppy blooms from February to September. The flower closes at night and in cold windy weather, and opens again in the morning, but may remain closed if it is cloudy weather. Valerian Root also known as Valeriana officinalis. Common Valerian, European Valerian, Valeriana and Allheal. Valerian is a perennial plant, native to Europe and parts of Asia. It grows in meadows and woodlands within moist, temperate climates and has since been naturalized in North America. The root system consists of a vertical rhizome and an abundance of smaller rootlets which are harvested and dried at temperatures less than 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
