Ashwagandha is native to North Africa and is very common throughout Iraq, Western India, North America, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Ashwagandha is a branched shrub, with a height from 30 cm to 1 meter, in rare cases reaches 2.5 meters. It has dark green oval or ovoid leaves that alternate on a branch.
