Opticolin obtained from natural fermented red rice and Monacolina K without additives. This product has in its constitution, in addition to other compounds, monacolina K, known commercially as lovastatin and which has the ability to decrease cholesterol biosynthesis and total cholesterol levels. The daily intake of 10 mg Monacolina K contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels, and it is important to choose supplements with declared amounts. For, by itself, the intake of red rice yeast does not guarantee that cholesterol levels are maintained. Scientifically proven, after rigorous testing, its effect has been officially confirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
