Tan Xiang is also known as Bai Tan Xiang and Huang Tan Xiang. All three names refer to Sandalwood. Tan Xiang is one herb in a group of aromatic woods that are relatively important in traditional Chinese Herb. This herb figures in to the occasional dit da jow recipe, but is less often used than Mu Xiang for example, due to its higher cost. Sandalwood is acrid and warm.
