Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is an edible mushroom, a species of the genus Lentinula. The mushroom cap is convex, hemispherical, with small scales, with a diameter of up to 20 cm. Shiitake cracks as it ripens, and becomes flat as it grows. The edges are even, slightly bent and thinner in mature mushrooms. Maitake (Grifola Frondosa) can be recognized by numerous fleshy, shapeless-wavy, small hats, wedge-shaped narrowed into a leg. The upper part of the legs and the lower side of the caps are covered with a spore-like shallow-tube layer; the color of the outer surface varies from gray-greenish to gray-pink tones. Cordyceps (Cordyceps Sinensis) consists of two parts: sclerotia and stroma. The mushroom propagates by spores, which, like a homing weapon, “shoot” only when a caterpillar of a butterfly creeps past. Adhered to the insect, the spores dissolve the skin and penetrate the body, where they remain at rest until the caterpillar begins to bury itself in the ground for pupation on the eve of winter. Reishi (Ganoderma Lucidum) is a saprophyte mushroom that lives on dead wood, mainly of deciduous (oak, alder, birch) and very rarely coniferous trees. Ganoderma has several varieties. During growth, the fruit body of the ganoderma can absorb twigs or leaves into the hat. The fungus has a very solid structure. Its color can be from reddish to brown-violet or black with a yellowish tinge.
