It produces a large, edible fruit that is yellow-green in color, and has white flesh inside. The leaves contain unique chemicals called 'annonaceous acetogenin' 'Acetogenin' refers to 'being generated from acetate'. In the Graviola plant, molecules of acetate are joined together to form a long fatty acid, terminated with a lactone ring.
